Used to be the best. Tried it on 3 phones in the house same thing it is completely off the moon is in front of me but on the screen it is somewhere below out of sight. So much that calibrating doesnt work. Guess you should by their version 2 but why is this still in the App Store?

If youve ever wondered what you are seeing in the night sky, this App gives you "point and shoot" answers. A night mode shifts everything to red on the screen to avoid blowing out your night vision. One warning, dont click on the info button for an object, especially a star. You get a bright white image of star that will blast your eyes, and teach you nothing except not to do that again. On the iPad the text is to the left of the star, on an iPhone the red text is over the bright star so it is impossible to read. There needs to be setting to turn off the star images as part of night mode. Otherwise, great!

My husband and I have derived many hours is a pleasure from this wonderful little application. He studied astronomy on and off as a young man, but I never had the chance. Together, we can scan the heavens zoom in object find out about it, and feel a part of the creation itself in a way that we could never do ignorant of the wonders that lay above. The interface is a little easier to work on an iPad that it is an iPhone, naturally. However, the fact that it works and iPhone is great, because you often have an iPhone in your pocket at a moment when I have is a particular beautiful, just want to know little more about whats above you. We like the interface, the addition of classical celestial characters, and the ease at which we can move forward and backwards to time. The graphics are absolutely wonderful. One of the reasons that we bought into The universe of Apple computers and I machines since 1986. Its just a pleasure to use this application, we find it very "Mac like." We cannot recommend it enough. If you love to learn, and your visually and climbed in your learning, this app is a godsend.

Ive had this app for a couple years and every time I go to use it, this app ALWAYS is 90 degrees off saying east is north. Calibration is a pain and hidden in the settings. When it works, it hangs and is glitchy. Dont waste your time or money on this app.

This was my favorite astronomy app for a while, and I dont think the devs update anything anymore because of star walk 2.

I love this app. No matter where you are point your phone to the sky and it will quickly allow you to identify constellations, stars and planets.

Great app for beginners as well as pros! Very simple to use and beautifully designed!

If you are a Jr. Astronomer or just want to get to know the sky better this is a great app. I tell all my friends. Works great on iPhone.

Despite the years, StarWalk is still a great app. Theres no real contender.

Great app had it for years, fun to the stars from anywhere.

Ive settled many "which constellation is that?" Arguments with this app. The alerts are also great to let us know when to look up and see cool stuff!

Simply awesome and worth getting

This is the APP to get. If you are into astronomy or not. There are literally billions of beautiful objects out there and this is a great way to see them. Thank You Star Walk team for your excellent work.

This latest update just wont install. Hope they fix it

Ill be short to give this feedback. I can easily rate this app with 5stars. Now If you get a 360 glasses to experience the inbuilt 360 capability features you will have one of the best astronomy experiences. I see a huge potential on this app. The only negative point I can see could be the app position is about 3 degrees wrong compared to the actual position giving you around an inch the wrong to find objects.. but to be honest , thats still very accurate. God job with this one guys. 5stars is definitely the rate

Have had this app for several years & its my favorite. It never fails to amaze us. Used it recently at McDonald Observatory & it really helped. Its fun to share with friends too.

The best This app Rocks

Excellent is not a word that I use much. In this case I feel like it should be used. I was jealous of google sky and my stood friends looking at the night sky. I finally going this and I do recommend it 99.9%. you will like it. I hunt UFOs now I can finally know if it is a stupid satellite flying weird out of service stuff falling or a real UFO. I cannot wait for a clear night!

It needs to add the planet earth

I bought this app when it first came out ! Glad I remembered and re downloaded again ! Love it ! Last time I used it was on my iPhone 3GS, now that I have kids they will love it !
