It is so wonderful to be able to point your phone screen to any part of the sky and see the constellations, names of stars, galaxies, nebula - everything! The first time I learned that what I saw as a star was actually a whole galaxy, I was awed! Brings naked eye stargazing to another level!

this was one of the first apps I downloaded on my first iPhone years ago and the only one I have continued to use and love to this day.

I absolutely love this app!! This is the only one I have ever paid for. It has taught me a lot over the few years Ive had it. I use it almost every night.

The size of brighter stars is shown so large on the screen that the image is like a cartoon. It is nearly useless for finding stars and constellations in the sky. The image on the screen is so enhanced it looks nothing like the sky. The Milky Way is so bright it obscures nearby stars. I would like to see controls so the size of stars, planets etc and the brightness of the Milky Way could be adjusted. It is not very useful the way it is.

If youre fascinated by space, planets, stars, the universe, comets, satellites; this app is well worth the price. It has taught me a whole lot about everything space related.

I love this app! I have had it for several years now and I love it!

overall, the augmented reality component of this app is why i installed it. the interface is really not intuitive and is certainly non-standard. it takes a while to get used to. since it can tell me where a satellite is, relative to my location, i would love to set reminders for when ISS is overhead, or an amateur radio satellite. regardless, this is still my favorite sky watching app and i recommend it.

I check this app daily(nightly) just to see whatever it is I can see up there.. keep staring into the night sky...

Anytime Im camping or out in the dark enough skys, I pop this app out and show friends. It great to have a resource as this to see what bright star that is way up in the sky.

This app is just sooo cool. Im watching the Draconid meteor shower tonight because of it. We are just mini beings on a rock flying around a burning ball of gas! And there is a ton in the universe to explore. Thank you, star walk for connecting me with the rest of the solar system and universe!

Updated 10-10-2016 Once more it opens to a black screen or to a partially displayed screen that is frozen. Customer service said to delete and do a hard reset of iPhone and then reinstall. I did and it worked for a week. No longer works. Updated 01-22-2015: more bad news - now it crashes when I try to open it. This app does not work on iOS 8. I reported it to support on Sept 22, 2014. This is their response: "Thank you for contacting VITO Technology customer support service. Your report is greatly appreciated, we will examine the issue. Best regards VITO Technology Customer Support Team Twitter @starwalk” The live view does not work, the gallery view does not work and if they have “examined the issue” they certainly have not fixed it. Appalling customer service.

I wish I could upload a screenshot of my newly downloaded yet broken app. I open it and it remains frozen and unresponsive. Total crap. Total disappointment.

its a best choice if you are interested in activity in the sky.

It would be awesome if there was a way of syncing it to my Telescope

Greatest app ever. Love it. I sound like a star genius as long as I can get my phone back in my pocket before anyone notices.
